About the App
Activist Watcher is a mobile application for tracking and monitoring major investor activities. It automatically retrieves large shareholding report data from Japan's Financial Services Agency EDINET (Electronic Disclosure for Investors' NETwork) system and notifies you in real-time about stock holding changes by major investors.
The app periodically collects data from EDINET, allowing you to review detailed report information and PDF files within the app. You can also view disclosure documents such as annual securities reports. Discover trending stocks through activist rankings, and quickly identify important reports with automatic holding purpose classification. Stay informed about important holding changes via push notifications and stay ahead of major investor movements.

Key Features
Automatic Report Retrieval & Display
No need to check EDINET yourself. The app automatically retrieves the latest large shareholding reports, amendment reports, and correction reports, and shows details such as ownership ratio, holding purpose, and the reason for an amendment filing. Sort by submission date or reporting obligation date, and follow links to correction reports to reach the latest information. Reports filed well after the reporting obligation date are marked as delayed, and the threshold can be set to 14, 30, or 90 days in settings.
Push Notifications
Stay informed about major investor movements via push notifications. Choose between real-time alerts for breaking updates or evening digest notifications that summarize the day's reports. Filter notifications to receive only "important reports" — those related to activist activity or acquisitions.
Holder & Issuer Profiles
Review information about holders and issuers of interest along with their related reports. Holder detail screens show the stocks that holder owns and tender offer documents. Issuer detail screens show the holder list plus disclosure documents such as annual securities reports and tender offer documents. Holdings by joint holders are also shown.
Ranking Feature
Automatically calculates and displays rankings of stocks and holders with the most active large shareholding report filings. Discover trending stocks through weekly, monthly, and three-month period-based rankings.
Holding Purpose Classification
Automatically classifies holding purposes from large shareholding reports into categories such as "Significant Proposals" and "Tender Offers," displayed as badges. Quickly identify important activist-related reports.
Report Sharing
Share reports of interest via social media, messaging apps, and more.
Watch Feature
Register stocks (issuers) and major investors (holders) of interest to your watchlist. The watch screen shows the latest status of everything you have registered, and watched reports are highlighted on the home and ranking screens. The free plan allows up to 3 registrations in total across issuers and holders.
Search Feature
Search for reports by stock name, securities code, or holder name. Search history is saved automatically so you can quickly return to targets you check repeatedly.
Disclosure & Tender Offer Documents
From the issuer detail screen, view annual securities reports, semi-annual reports, and extraordinary reports, as well as tender offer documents such as tender offer notifications and position statements. Holder detail screens provide access to tender offer documents. The free plan includes the latest single PDF.
Holding Ratio Display
View each holder's ownership percentage in the holder list. Quickly grasp investors' positions at a glance.
Premium Features
Holding Ratio Charts
Visualize holding ratio trends for specific holder-issuer pairs in charts. Track changes in major investors' investment stances over time. Even when the representative filer of a joint holding group changes partway through, the trend is shown as a single continuous chart.
Reference Average Acquisition Price
Calculates and displays a reference average acquisition price as of each report, derived from the acquisition funds and share count stated in the large shareholding report. Gauge roughly what price level a major investor bought in at.
Highlighted Changes in Holding Purpose
See how the holding purpose in an amendment report changed from the previous report, with added and removed passages highlighted. In full-text view you can toggle between diff view and normal view. Note that the "Changed from previous" badge shown on reports whose holding purpose has changed is also available on the free plan.
Unlimited Watchlist Registrations
Premium removes the watchlist registration limit, so you can register as many stocks and investors as you like.
Full Ranking Access
The free plan shows the top 5 of each ranking; Premium shows up to the top 100.
Notification Customization
Fine-tune your notifications to receive only the information you need. Filter by watched targets or select specific changes like ratio increases or decreases.
Access to Past Disclosure Documents
View past documents as PDFs, including annual securities reports, semi-annual reports, extraordinary reports, and tender offer documents. The free plan includes the latest single document.
